Aziz Ansari Shows Us What’s in His Trusty Travel Backpack
From film cameras to far-flung currency, legendary traveler and TV mastermind Aziz Ansari shows us all the cool gear in his travel bag.
Professional traveller (and actor/comedian) Aziz Ansari has a pretty good handle on how to pack a carry-on. This is a man, after all, who has lived in (and eaten his way through) more cool, far-flung places than most people will ever even visit. We caught up with him in Paris (one of the cool places he has inhabited) hot off a Master of None season two victory lap and found him in a particularly reflective, charmingly candid, obviously still-hilarious mind space. We talked about everything from the best way to spray cologne, to his dream girl, to whether rich-and-famous people should quit while they’re ahead. We also asked him (as we do) to dump out his bag and show us how a well-travelled—Emmy nominated—gentleman packs for a journey. Ansari’s unassuming leather backpack was stuffed with a selection of luxury and intellectually stimulating goods, as well as some analog gear you’ll recognize from the early aughts. He also imparts one hot tip for how to seriously, finally, and-for-good-this-time, unplug and live in the moment. Give the man props—this is one well-stacked backpack. Hell, from what we can see, it’s a well-stacked life.
